Excell map reflection

June 11, 2010 by

I really liked working on my excell map because it was really easy to work with and there was almost no complicatons with it besides the end when we were trying to put it on a screencast and it took a while to get the sound and the video to work at the same time. But it is all just trying untill you get it right and that is what we did. I think that the excell map was a total sucess

Chapter 3

April 19, 2010 by

in chapter 3 the thing that i learned that I will most remember is that the Coastal Indians are much more rich in resources than the Plateau Indians. They had salmon and cedar bark so they coould become sedentary, while the Plateau Indians had to be nomadic so they could follow the food. This in important because we use many of the things that the Coastal Indians used today.

Chapter 4

April 19, 2010 by

In chapter 3 the thing that I learned is that Magellan deid on his trip around the world but his crew finished the journey back to Spain. This isn’t really important to our states history but that journey was one of the first to go around the world sucessfully.

Crusades Project

March 3, 2010 by

The best part of my overall work is the look of it, i like the coloered headings and the map at the bottom. My paragraphs could be longer. I would do it on word next time so that I wouldnt have to keep going back into my history and bringing back old saves because it deleted my newer one. I really liked using diigo it works well had helps you get informatin so that you dont have to memorize it and you can see it all on one page and you dont have to go around to all of the pages on the internet looking for information. I really disliked the fact that chaning the color of one word on my wiki could delete a whole paragraph.

My Muhammad Book

January 19, 2010 by

There is a long process to create a Muhammad book. First I typed up all of my summaries, then I drew my pictures including my cover. Then I finished my cover. I got some construction paper. then i glued the paragraphs and other things to apropriate size pieces of construction paper. then i glued the construction paper to the pages in the book. I think that the book came out very good and looks like I imagined it to. The thing that I like most about it is the cover, it is really cool and the colors blend well together. What I would chang is the fact that there is to much glue so it soaked out the sides and then the pages stuck together, so next time I would use less glue. I very much so prefer the quizes overn the projects because a quiz takes 10 min and a book takes 3-4hrs. I learn a lot more through tests because there is better questions. Muhammad started a whole new religion in the world and started it in the arabian peninsula.

I will survive……..in the Arabian Peninsula!

December 16, 2009 by

There are lots of tips to use out on the Arabian Peninsula! These are probably the ten most important ones. One thing is that you should have a tent it can provide shelter from the hot summer days, the vicious sandstorms and the below freezing winter nightime. Another thing that could come in use could be loose fitting clothes they keep you cool and stop sand from blowing onto you. Probably the most important thing, a camel! They can go long distances without food or water which could make the difference between life and death for you. One thing that you could use to get out of food shortages or other problems you might have to deal with, this method is called bartering: trading goods for goods or services for goods no money involved. A life or death situation could end if you find yourself at an oasis, first mak sure that you are not dreaming and if you arnt then your in luck you will have plenty of food and water and so will your heard. If you find yourself on the coastal plains or in the mountainf you will probably want to farm there you can use irrigation, terraces and dams. If you are looking to biuld shelter at an oasis then you should use palm wood to make a shelter and if you are in the mountains follow what the locals do and make a good solid house out of mub bricks and rocks! Well this is all i have to say for today!

Good luck on your journey,
Anthony

Letter to Parents

November 20, 2009 by

Dear Mom and Dad,

I have done very good this year. I have not struggled in any classes besides right now in science with all of our tests that we had no notice about. In, Math we learned LCM (lowest common denominator), GCF (greatest common denominator), graphs, and now we have just started pre-algebra! In SS, we learned about the Middle Ages and lots of things that happened during them, i.e. the Black Death, Trading and the economy. In LA, we learned about reds and yellows and how to put them in a paragrah we also learned how to take a whole bunch of notes really fast on a video then find three parralel yellows, then turn it into a paragraph. In Science we learned how to thake notes and about erosion, other then that we just took notes all class period. I did really good with turning in my work. What I want to do better next trimester is to actually try to figure out when we have to know something for science, other then that i think I will do good.

Love,
Anthony

Church Poem Reflection

October 14, 2009 by

1. I think that I did best with the pictures and borders. I think this because it looks very good.
2. I would get rid of the stupid ryhmes and make them better because they don’t sound very good.
3. Um…. I think that the most helpful teaching tool was definatly Mr. Talmadge because he told us everything about it that we would have to know to do a good job.
4. I think that we should have to draw the pictures because it is so easy just to print them off and glue them on.

I suggest skipping to about the 3 min mark. It wont let me post a youtube link so just go to youtube and type in washington huskies vs arizona wildcats.
